For generations, the fields of Lancaster County have produced abundant harvests through patient labor, faithful stewardship and an understanding that healthy fruit begins with healthy roots. Tucked away in the rolling hills and fertile farmland of Manheim, Pennsylvania, The Greenhouse has found a home in a region whose story has always been one of cultivation. We believe that story is still being written.
As we approach the 300th anniversary of the outpouring in Herrnhut, Germany in 1727, and on the 270th year anniversary of the founding of Lititz, it is fitting, then, that we have found our home here.
Just a few miles from our campus is Lititz, a community born out of one of the most influential missionary movements in history. The Moravians were marked by extraordinary devotion to Jesus, unceasing prayer and intercession, an uncommon love in their community and a zeal to proclaim the gospel among the nations. They helped ignite a missionary vision whose influence reached around the world. We are inspired by that same passion, and have a desire to live in the shout of their testimony.
And in this pivotal moment in our history, God has provided a space for the purpose of worship, training and missions. In addition to this, we envision this property being used for agriculture and hospitality. Over the last year, we have had a growing sense that a transition of location was on the horizon. In a story that only God could write, by the generous gift of two families, this property was purchased debt-free.
On this beautiful 24 acre property we will cultivate a space where God's presence is welcomed, to equip sons and daughters to contend in prayer for our region and the nations and to see families step into their God-given inheritance. We believe that this campus has been prepared to serve that purpose. We want this property to be a place of legacy where the destiny of families is revealed as they step into their God-given inheritance.
